The CAETS 2025 conference, hosted by the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences & Engineering (ATSE) in Brisbane, Australia, from September 8 to 11, 2025, has just concluded with resounding success. Under the theme "Generations," this prestigious gathering brought together leaders from over 30 global Academies of Engineering and Technological Sciences to explore how STEM innovations can shape a sustainable future over the next 50 years, envisioning a thriving world by 2075. At the heart of the event was Dr. Katherine Woodthorpe AO FTSE FAICD, President of ATSE. As the host Academy's leader, Dr. Woodthorpe played a pivotal role in steering the conference, welcoming international delegates and emphasizing the importance of intergenerational collaboration in addressing global challenges like climate change, resource efficiency, and technological ethics. In her opening address, she highlighted Australia's commitment to innovative STEM solutions, drawing on the nation's diverse expertise to foster international partnerships.
The conference featured a dynamic program, including technical tours, workshops, and a one-day symposium on September 10, where discussions delved into emerging technologies, sustainable systems, and real-world applications.
