The Nigerian Academy of Engineering has recently paid a condolence visit to Maiduguri. The visit was as a result of the recent flooding that affected the city of Maiduguri in Borno State.

The President of the Academy, Engr. Prof. R. A. Bello who led thedelegation for the visit noted that the visit was a very important one given that the flooding was as a result of an engineering problem, and not a natural disaster.

The President and his delegates arrived Maiduguri on Tuesday Oct 1st, 2024. The delegates paid a visit to His Excellency , Engr. Prof. Babagana U. Zulum, mni, FNSE, CON, the Executive Governor of Borno State, and His Royal Eminence Alhaji. Dr. AbubakarUmar Garbai El-Kanemi, CFR, Shehu of Borno.
