The Nigerian Academy of Engineering (NAEng) recently paid a courtesy visit to the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) on the 10th of June, 2026, reaffirming their shared commitment to advancing Nigeria's industrial and technological development.

The visit provided an opportunity for both organizations to discuss strategic partnerships aimed at strengthening the manufacturing sector through engineering innovation, research, and sustainable industrial practices. Key discussions centered on fostering collaboration between academia, industry, and policymakers to address challenges affecting local manufacturing and enhance national competitiveness.

Representatives from both NAEng(led by the Honorary Secretary, Engr. (Mrs.) Christy Adelowo and other Fellows of the Academy) and MAN emphasized the importance of leveraging engineering expertise to drive productivity, encourage local content development, and support the adoption of modern technologies across Nigerian industries.

The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to deepen collaboration and pursue initiatives that will contribute to economic growth, job creation, and the realization of a more resilient and globally competitive manufacturing sector in Nigeria.
