The Nigerian Academy of Engineering hosted its 3rd National Innovation Competition in 2026.

The competition received over 108 entries. 

The innovators and their innovations passed through 2 stages of verification and the top 8 finalists were invited to an exhibition and awards night which held on the 24th of June, 2026.

Below is the list of the top innovations and their innovators.

1st - POWERBOX ENERGY SYSTEMS- Locally Manufactured Solar Solutions and E-Waste to Energy Innovation by Abdulmalik Badamasi

2nd - AquaVise: AI-Driven Aquafarm with Wastewater Management System by Mubarak Erinfolami

3rd - Development of Sustainable Fibre Strand Production Machine for Recycling of Plastic Waste: A Clean and Green Initiative for Environmental Conservation by Madu Solomon Chijioke
